In addition to manufacturing individual components, installation, maintenance, and construction, our product palette also includes the conversion and manufacture of gearboxes and drive lements. We also can also meet our customers' needs for pump and conveyor technologies.
Through years of experience, especially with high-performance, heavy-load gearboxes, and constant contact with their users, we have acquired a comprehensive know-how of the field of rive engineering.
By combining this potential with our regular evaluation of damages and weakened areas on these extremely loaded gearboxes, we developed improved components that have a longer service life and increased performance.

We do not just manufacture standardized gearboxes.
Based on our clients' needs, we also manufacture special designs like speed-changing and heterodyne gearboxes. By successfully expanding our supply program, we were able to make the transition to designing our own gearboxes.
Due to our innovative concepts and high manufactured quality, BRÄUTIGAM was selected to carry out state-sponsored research and development projects for the Ruhrkohle AG and the Rhineland-Westphalia Technical College in Aachen.

In order to further strengthen our market position, we acquired the RUHRTHALER machine works in 1996. A prestigious company that established itself worldwide as a designer and manufacturer of locomotives and as the market leader in mining locomotives and monorail systems over the course of its 100-year history. From 1924 on, they supplied local and foreign sources with more than 4500 diesel locomotives.
Our goals and activities are based around continuing and expanding this product line. We will also continue to use the name, as agreed, and the products will be marked with the RUHRTHALER trademark.
We are now one of the major suppliers of self-propelled monorail systems (diesel or electric-powered traveling cabs) that are implemented for heavy loads and underground use. Because of our employees' field knowledge and our application of the most modern technology, today we can offer specialized solutions for all transport purposes.

FOR EFFICIENT OUTFLOW

In April of 1998, the Bräutigam Maschinen- und Fördertechnik GmbH was founded in Herdecke, after the acquisition of the former LEWIN Maschinensysteme GmbH, and it holds the licenses to several Wollbrecht-patents.
Through this acquisition, we were able to further expand our market position; now we are able to manufacture and offer complete conveyor systems and their components, like sprocket wheels and drive frames. Our program also includes the supply of equipment for all current construction machinery as well as patented demolition machinery.

In 1998, we were able enter yet another market niche with our acquisition of the BEDIA machine works, thereby founding BRÄUTIGAM Bedia Lokomotivtechnik GmbH. In continuing to use this name, we also continue to carry out its long tradition.
In the mid-1970s, BEDIA was already considered the specialist in cogwheel and diesel mine locomotives.
Several developments in the field caused an increase in orders for rail-bound transport systems in tunnel construction and underground use.
Today we are able to offer worldwide a complete program of high performance transport systems for the fields of tunneling, mining and motor technology.

The business capabilities of the owner, his sense of market development, and the high quality and flexibility that mark the company stem from the BRÄUTIGAM Group's ability to maintain a successful market profile.
Our most important clients include the Deutsche Steinkohle AG (Ruhrkohle AG), Deutsche Bergbautechnik, Preussag, Saarbergwerke, as well as other important companies in Germany.
Our foreign activities branch out to Australia, South Africa, the United States of America, South America, Poland, Slovenia, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Russia, Japan, and China.
In 1994, we founded subsidiaries in the United States and Poland that manage our sales and service activities in these countries. In setting up shop abroad, we were able to fall back on established markets in which BRÄUTIGAM products were already well-known and proven.

The BRÄUTIGAM company was founded in 1970 by its current owner Reiner Bräutigam to be a component manufacturer for mining sub-contractors.
From the very beginning, the business concept was geared towards expansion. After we moved our headquarters to Moers in 1977, we were able to improve our production methods, increase our capacity, and expand our supply spectrum. We established additional positions to allow our machine park to operate at the highest technical level.
This helped us make the successive step to direct mining sub-contractor.

Following consequentially the strategy in offering complete solutions and giving full support in every way of transport and conveying BRAEUTIGAM- Group acquired the German company Underground & Mining ( U+M )  on Aug. 01. 2003. Additional to the locomotives BRAEUTIGAM now delivers all types of mine cars like passenger cars, mortar cars, remixer, flat cars, segment cars, muck cars, through cars, side- discharging cars, tipplers, switches, rails and California switches.

The merger of company MUCKENHAUPT in the year 1999 extended the range of products with rope driven monorail systems for the transport of men and material, lifting beams, shunting trolleys and material handling devices. The range of equipment enables our company to offer complete monorail systems.

The brand name MUCKENHAUPT is very well known in the international coal mining industry for many years.
Muckenhaupt equipment is used in mines and tunnels for long distance transport but also for short distance transport suburb and close to the face.
MUCKENHAUPT products are very often used as auxiliary equipment with Diesel- and Battery- Monorail- Locomotives. The brand grants reliability and proper operation.
